Language Oasis (GH 308)

The Language Oasis (Grant Hall 308) is the LCLC multi-purpose community space.

Many language- and culture-focused events happen in the Oasis: everything from film screenings to conversation hours to outside presenters and special events.

The Oasis is also a great place to work or just take a break. Meet with classmates to work on projects or study together. Sit in the Oasis to do your assignments or relax.

We facilitate film screenings, lectures, presentations, workshops, and more: email us with your event ideas.

Regular Hours

The Oasis is open Monday through Friday during the LCLC’s regular hours: 9AM-5PM.
Break Hours

During breaks or summer term, the room is open on a by-request basis. Please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.
COVID-19 safety

In accordance with current UIC guidelines, masks are optional in the Language Oasis. Food and drink are allowed at events.
